Loving the Colosseo and Roman Forum (Surviving the heat!)
June 30th was our official first full day in Roma, students also had their first class in the morning before heading to the Colesseo and Roman Forum in the afternoon. We had two wonderful guides, Roberto and Paola, who took us through the history at the same time trying to find the only slivers of shade available to us. Lots of water breaks while we learned got us through the day that allowed all the students ample opportunity to take pictures for their family and friends (and social media).
We had a wonderful dinner together, the conversations were many as the students buzzed about what they saw and what their plans were during free time after dinner. Many students returned to the Colesseo at night to see it all lit up.
Today is Canada Day, stay tuned for some pictures of us wearing red today as we head to the Vatican and St. Peter’s Basilica in Vatican City. Students are looking forward to seeing another part of this iconic city today and tonight.
Ciao from Roma,
