Ciao da Roma

After a very long travel day our students were excited about two things… air conditioning and a shower…but they still did so many other things on their first day in Rome.  Students went in groups of four or more to enjoy some lunch before coming back to the hotel to check in. After spending some time in their rooms we met again to use the Metro for the first time to visit The Spanish Steps.  Everyone overcame their fatigue to take pictures, buy some gelato and get to know the city a bit.  Students came back to the hotel, with snacks and water in hand, to prepare for dinner.  After dinner many stayed in to rest while others went back to the Spanish Steps to enjoy some evening fun too. What a great first day, much more fun to come.

Day 2 is just starting, students have all eaten a hearty breakfast and are now in their first class. Later today we will be touring the Colosseo and Roman Forum.
