Our First Full Day in Greece

Our first full day in Greece was packed with activities! We began the day with a full buffet breakfast. Biology and English classes worked at the hotel in the morning, and then after lunch they went for their private group visit to the Sea Turtle Rescue Centre. While they toured the facility, they were taught about all the ways sea turtles are threatened and how the center works to rehabilitate these incredible creatures.

Our Classical Civilizations class left the hotel after breakfast to drive to the Temple of Poseidon on Cape Sunion. Walking around the ruins of this ancient building perched high above the sea, the class learned about the temple from one of the students who had prepared a fantastic individual presentation about it.

Returning back to the hotel later in the afternoon, students had time to relax. A few chose to go in the pool while most visited the nearby beach for a refreshing swim.

After a souvlaki dinner at the hotel restaurant, students had time to relax in their rooms or sign out in groups of 4.
