Soaking up the History
Today was a big day of learning! The Classical Civilization class went on their first Magical Mystery History Tour that was not just about history. The group stopped at the Archaeological Museum of Rethymno, the Fortezza of Rethymno, and the Church of Saint Spyridon. Dr. Flaherty was a wealth of knowledge as he took the class to each stop, adding in some extra fun facts along the way.
The English classes were introduced to vlogging to begin collecting for their culminating activities, developing their theses and ensuring their ideas can come to life. The Biology classes split up, with the Grade 11’s learning about bacteria and fungi and preparing for an upcoming test, while the Grade 12’s completed a lab identifying macromolecules and nutrients.
In between classes and dinner, students went to the beach to soak up some sun and get some fresh air. At dinner they were given stickers to mix and match them into a dinner group they’ve never sat with to make more connections. After dinner, they got ready for their first Friday night in Greece! Everyone is ready for the weekend.
