Sunrise Swim and Ferry to Rome
On our final morning in Sardinia, a dedicated group of students woke up at 5:30am in order to watch the sunrise at 6am. We were all in awe as the sun came up over the hills, and we managed to take some amazing pictures. Afterwards, a few students decided to go for one final swim before we head to Rome.
We checked out of our hotel and headed to port to catch a 6-hour ferry to Rome. After lunch on board, we decided to have a 3-hour class. Our photography students did a photoshoot off the back of the ship. Our ancient civilization class sat around the pool and worked on their next project, while our English class gathered to finish King Lear.
On the way from the ferry port to the hotel, we stopped in a quint village of Palidoro for dinner. The owner treated us like family, and we enjoyed incredible appetizers and an entire pizza for each of us.
We are looking forward to our week in Rome. We’ll be visiting the Colosseum tomorrow.
