Day 10 - Island Adventures
Today was another beautiful day in Greece as both groups continued making the most of their unique experiences.
Group A spent the day on Poros, beginning with a full schedule of classes. Once again, our English class made the most of the incredible weather by holding class in the pool! With the sparkling water and beautiful scenery all around, it was the perfect setting for reading and discussion.
After classes, students had the afternoon to enjoy the island in their own way. Some ventured into the main town of Poros to browse the local shops, enjoy the waterfront, and explore the charming streets, while others chose to relax by the beach and pool, soaking up the warm Greek sunshine. A group of students also joined McKay for a bike tour of the island, taking in the stunning coastal views and discovering some of Poros’ hidden gems along the way.
In the evening, students had the opportunity to experience one of Greece’s unique traditions with a movie night at a beautiful open-air theatre. Watching Michael under the stars was a memorable experience and the perfect way to enjoy a warm summer evening on the island. After the movie, the group treated themselves to some delicious gelato before heading back to the hotel for the night, excited to wake up early for a sunrise swim the next morning.
Meanwhile, Group B enjoyed their final full day of sailing through the stunning Saronic Gulf. The day included more time on the water before the group made their way to Methana, where they docked for the evening. Students explored the peaceful seaside town, enjoyed dinner together, and spent some free time taking in the beautiful surroundings before returning to their sailboats for one last night on board. Although the students are sad to leave their wonderful sail boats, they are eagerly looking forward to spending some time relaxing on the beaches in Poros!
