Cooking up a storm in the Cretan mountains!

Today was yet another wonderful day in the amazing country of Greece.

First thing in the morning, our Ancient Civilizations class took a trip across the street from our hotel to the Heraklion Archeological Museum.  This museum is dedicated to the remains of Knossos Palace, the archeological site the group visited yesterday!  The students in the class had an assignment to complete while in the museum and had a fantastic time exploring the ancient artifacts.

In the afternoon, the students who were going on our cooking class excursion took off on a picturesque drive into the Cretan mountains to a town called Nippos.  After trying on their aprons, the cooking crew spent their time cooking authentic Greek cuisine to enjoy while overlooking the beautiful scenery.  They finished the excursion with traditional Greek dancing alongside the hosts of the excursion.  What a magnificent evening!

Tomorrow is Friday, that means a full day of classes for the students, then some free time in the evening to continue exploring the city of Heraklion!
