Villa Borghese and Vatican City
July 2nd
Ciao from Rome!
Today was a day filled with beautiful landscapes and art. Our English, Ancient Civilization, and International Business classes started their day by taking the metro to the beautiful Villa Borghese where they did class at one of the largest parks in Rome. It offered beautiful views of the city and a peaceful area for studying.
Later in the day, students visited the Vatican museum and St. Peter’s Basilica. They were in awe while travelling through and taking in all the beautiful art and history that lies within. Many students will say their favourite part of this tour was Michelangelo’s Sistine Chapel. The ceiling left many of them speechless as every piece of the wall tells a different story.
We then had a lasagna dinner at a local restaurant in Vatican City then headed back to the hotel where students worked on their assignments and got some well-earned sleep after a long day!
