Sunday, July 9th:

After several days of very early mornings, our group had an opportunity to sleep in a little bit. We gathered for our last breakfast in Monteverde at 8:45AM and then loaded up our bus for the 4 hour journey around Lake Arenal to the beautiful town of La Fortuna.

A few students took a moment to appreciate the views of the cloud forest one last time before we said goodbye.

We arrived at our hotel in La Fortuna mid afternoon and students were quick to jump into the pool and have a little fun.

After a delicious dinner we went for a walk through town to explore our new surroundings.

The local churro vendor has quickly become our group’s best friend.
