July 8 - Final Day in Rethymno

Our last day in Rethymno started with an optional morning hike just outside of town at Mili Gorge. Starting at the top of the Gorge, they hiked their way down, exploring churches along the path, waterfalls, and old structures. Students got back to the hotel just in time for breakfast, and were able to rest and refresh before class.

In English, the students worked on their Mise En Scene projects, which is a movie analysis, and were given time for the vlog assignments with all of the content they got while in Rethymno. In Classical Civilization, students went to their favourite class spot, the Municipal Park, to have discuss all they saw while in Heraklion. In Biology, they had time to prepare notes for their upcoming test when we all arrive in Santorini.

In their free time, students made the most of the last day in Rethymno by going to the beach, exploring old town for one last gelato, getting snacks for the early morning travels, and relaxing and playing pool in the lobby of the hotel. We enjoyed one final dinner together where students shared their favourite part of our stay. As much as we loved Rethymno, we’re all looking forward to our next destination!
