July 4 - Sunny Saturday

Today was the first Saturday of our program and the students took full advantage of a day off. After a little sleep in, some students went to the market to get some fresh fruit, souvenirs, and clothes just like the locals do. After the market, students went straight to the beach to get a day of sunshine and swimming. They played frisbee in the water, football, and tanned.

After dinner students had the option to join a watch party for the Canada vs. Morocco World Cup game (tough loss). After that, they explored Rethymno on a Saturday night, with students enjoying some late night snacks at local eateries, doing some shopping, and enjoying each others company.
