July 16 - Work & Play
After a very big day yesterday, students got to enjoy a slower paced day of classes, working on assignments, and enjoying the beach and pool.
English started with lit circles, Classical Civ continued with their seminars, and Bio worked on a photosynthesis project where they researched a Greek plant and learned how it has adapted to the environment. Students went back and forth between class time and relaxing in the sun by the beach and pool.
Students once again raved about the buffet selection, and appreciated the homemade hummus and the calamari, with many of them trying it for the first time! And of course, making sure that their leftovers went to keeping resort cats happy and fed.
After dinner it was time for music trivia with AC Steph by the pool. In small groups, students had to guess the name of the song and artist after listening to the first 30 seconds. There was an eclectic mix of 30 songs including Elton John, Taylor Swift, Fleetwood Mac, and Drake. Our winning group scored a whopping 25.5 and were treated to ice cream! Students enjoyed the sunset during trivia, and when it was done still got a bit of free time to enjoy the evening before heading to bed.
