Hvar Highlights: Hiking, Jumbo Prawns, and a Perfect Farewell

Our last full day on Hvar Island began with a burst of energy as a few brave students woke up early to hike up to the Fortress overlooking old Hvar town. The views were absolutely worth the climb — a peaceful, golden sunrise over the Adriatic and rooftops below.

After a 10:00 a.m. class session, students enjoyed a relaxed afternoon. Some headed down to the beach, while others stayed cool by the hotel pool — our favorite hangout spot all week.

Dinner was another highlight: Margherita pizza and seafood risotto that had everyone smiling. There may have been a few sneaky jumbo prawn thefts between plates, but judging by the laughter, both the “thieves” and the “victims” were happy with the outcome.

We wrapped up the evening with free time in town, soaking in the charm of Hvar’s old center — shopping, strolling, and savoring our last night on the island. It’s safe to say: we love this place and truly don’t want to leave.
