Halfway Through Italy: From Palio Cheers to Sardinian Shores

It’s hard to believe we’ve already reached the halfway point of our incredible journey through Italy. In just a few weeks, our students have experienced more culture, history, and personal growth than many do in a lifetime — and there’s still so much more to come. We began in the timeless city of Siena, where we were lucky enough to witness one of Italy’s most thrilling traditions: the Palio di Siena. Students were swept up in the energy and pageantry of the historic horse race — a moment that truly brought history to life and set the tone for the immersive learning ahead.

Next, we made our way to Florence, the birthplace of the Renaissance. We wandered its cobblestone streets, marveled at the Duomo, crossed the Ponte Vecchio, and explored a city that seamlessly blends ancient art with modern energy. Every corner of Florence sparked creativity and curiosity.

We then spent a whirlwind day in Venice, gliding along canals, exploring hidden alleyways, and soaking in the unique charm of a floating city. From Piazza San Marco to the Grand Canal, it was a day full of awe, inspiration, and, of course, lots of photos.

After so much movement and learning, our time in Sardinia offered a welcome balance. Known for its crystal-clear waters and dramatic coastlines, Sardinia was the perfect place for students to catch their breath, reflect on their journey, and recharge — all while keeping up with their coursework. Mornings brought focused study sessions, and afternoons offered beachside relaxation in one of the most beautiful places on earth.

Looking Ahead: Southern Italy Awaits

Tonight, we say arrivederci to Sardinia and head to our next destination: Sorrento. There, students will dive into the unique culture of Southern Italy — with its vibrant streets, coastal beauty, and rich history. We’re excited to explore new perspectives, enjoy unforgettable meals, and continue this incredible educational journey with open eyes and open hearts.

Stay tuned — the best is yet to come!
