Day 4: Syros Here We Come!
Monday, July 27th
Today’s blog is brought to you by Bianka in Ms. Ramos’ English class.
After two exciting days in the beautiful city of Athens, we now find ourselves heading to Syros for a week. With the temperature hitting 36 degrees, a calm ferry ride feels like exactly the travel day we need. Once we boarded, the turquoise water, warm sun, music, and friendly locals instantly set the mood. We sat outside on the little balcony of the huge, adorable boat, sipping surprisingly amazing coffee and enjoying the breeze as the waves shimmered below us.
Arriving in Syros felt magical. Our blue‑and‑white hotel was the cutest place ever, and after settling in, we grabbed dinner at a small, picturesque spot that looked straight out of a postcard. As the sun began to set, we took the cutest photos with our friends, the sky glowing over the beach. Later, I wandered up to the tiny Orthodox church on the hill, where the whole town sparkled like stars against the night. It was the perfect ending to our first day in Syros, and we fell asleep excited for everything tomorrow will bring.
Stay tuned for more.
