After weeks of hard work, dedication, and immersive learning, our students reached the final milestone of the program: their culminating exam. At 11:00 a.m., the group headed to a nearby university building to complete their assessments, with students finishing throughout the afternoon between 1:00 and 4:00 p.m. It was wonderful to see so many smiling faces as they walked out, proud of the effort they had put in and relieved to have crossed the finish line.

Following the exam, everyone enjoyed some well deserved downtime before getting ready for our final banquet. When the students arrived, they were welcomed into a room beautifully decorated with streamers and balloons, creating the perfect setting to celebrate everything they had accomplished together.

The evening began with a heartfelt speech from Linda, who perfectly captured the spirit of the trip. She reflected on the incredible growth each student experienced, not only academically but personally as well. Watching the students challenge themselves, support one another, and embrace new experiences has been one of the highlights of the program.

Dinner followed, featuring Mediterranean olives, nachos with guacamole, cheddar cheese and pico de gallo, crispy chicken fingers with “mustahoney” sauce, brava potatoes with aioli and chipotle, croquettes, rigatoni bolognese, and cheesecake with raspberries for dessert.

One of the most memorable parts of the evening was our paper plate awards, where every student received a unique award that reflected their personality and contributions to the group. Every student received an award that celebrated what made them special and the impact they had on the group.

To finish the night, everyone received a program T shirt for a group signing. Students filled each other’s shirts with favorite memories, kind messages, and inside jokes. It was a fun way to leave everyone with a lasting reminder of the friendships and experiences they shared throughout the program.

This program has been academically rigorous from start to finish, and our students have met every challenge with determination, resilience, and enthusiasm. We are incredibly proud of all they have accomplished and look forward to seeing the results of their hard work. Safe travels, everyone. See you soon!
