A Day Of Productivity
Thursday was a dedicated work period, giving students the opportunity to focus on their academics while still enjoying everything Syros has to offer.
With English students preparing for their performance tasks, short story seminar presentations and biology students getting ready for their final unit test later that evening, teachers dedicated the day to helping students catch up, get ahead and feel confident with their coursework.
Throughout the morning and afternoon, students worked independently, met with their teachers to ask questions, review material and make sure they were on the right track. It has been great to see how responsible and motivated everyone has been throughout the program. Many students have stayed ahead with their work, allowing them to enjoy some well earned free time.
Once their work was complete, many students headed to the pool or the beach to cool off, relax and enjoy the beautiful weather before returning for the evening biology test. With the test now complete, biology students have officially finished their final unit assessment and can now shift their focus to preparing for next week’s performance task and final exam.
After another successful day, everyone came together for dinner before spending the evening enjoying a sunset swim, a few games of beach volleyball and some free time with friends.
