Day 20 - Catamaran and FIFA

After another productive morning of classes, it was time for one of the most anticipated activities of the trip, our catamaran cruise along the Barcelona coastline. With stunning views of the city skyline, plenty of sunshine, and the Mediterranean stretching out around us, everyone had the chance to relax and enjoy a well-earned afternoon on the water.

While most of the group headed out on the catamaran, a number of students chose to visit Park Güell, where they explored Gaudí’s colourful masterpiece, admired the incredible architecture, and took in panoramic views across Barcelona before rejoining the group later in the day.

On the boat, students spent the afternoon chatting with friends, taking in the views, and cooling off with a refreshing swim in the sea. Many also enjoyed relaxing together on the floating mat before climbing back aboard to continue the cruise.

One of the highlights of the afternoon came when two students picked up the guitars and led an impromptu singalong. Before long, the whole group was joining in, creating a fantastic atmosphere that made the experience even more memorable. It was a brilliant moment that perfectly captured the fun, friendship, and community that has grown throughout the trip.

The excitement continued into the evening as we gathered to watch the FIFA Club World Cup Final together. With Spain claiming victory, the celebrations across the city were incredible. Barcelona was absolutely electric, with fans filling the streets, singing, cheering, and celebrating late into the night. It was the perfect ending to another unforgettable day.
