Hola!

Today we had our entire group travelling from Playa Del Coco to Arenal!  In Arenal, we are staying at a beautiful resort cozied into the forest ecosystem at the base of the Arenal Volcano.  The students are in awe of the flora and fauna surrounding us.  The hotel also has hot springs from the volcano, and an exhilarating waterslide (stay tuned for waterslide pictures tomorrow!).  We have our group attending our volcano hike excursion while we are here, where students have the chance to hike the volcano with stunning scenery!

Before dinner, our program had the honour of welcoming Mr. Sam Blyth to address our group.  Mr. Blyth spoke with the students about how he envisioned and began his travel-education programs 35 years ago, and offered the students some words of wisdom going forward on the rest of this program.  It was so kind of Mr. Blyth to take the time to come speak with us, many of the students had the chance to say hello and introduce themselves.

We are in Arenal for a full day tomorrow where we will have more students attending the volcano hike excursion, and we’re sure there will also be some waterslide action for the students!
