Day 12: From Paris to Munich – A Journey of Transitions and Teamwork

Our twelfth day on the Grand Tour of Europe was a day of smooth transitions, academic focus, and a warm welcome to Germany—a testament to how well our group has come together as a team.

The day began with a small group of students enjoying a relaxing start at their new hotel, where they were treated to a sumptuous breakfast buffet—a true highlight that energized everyone for the busy day ahead. After breakfast, laptops and notebooks in hand, students made their way to the main hotel where class time unfolded in creative, inspiring spaces, both indoors and out. From shaded courtyards to tucked-away corners, the energy was focused and collaborative as lessons connected back to the incredible places we’ve explored.

Following our classes, we shifted into gear for one of the day’s most impressive logistical feats: moving over 100 pieces of luggage down a single elevator in preparation for our departure. But with the experience of earlier moves under their belts, our students showed remarkable coordination and teamwork, completing the task in record time with positivity and purpose.

Two large buses arrived promptly, offering plenty of space and comfort for our group on the ride to the train station. Upon arrival, we were met by a friendly train conductor who arranged early boarding, allowing us to safely stow our luggage and find our seats without the usual hustle. This thoughtful gesture made a world of difference.

The long train journey to Munich provided a chance for everyone to unwind: students worked on assignments, caught up on sleep, and deepened new friendships formed over the past eleven days. The time passed comfortably, marked by laughter, quiet productivity, and a shared sense of anticipation for what lay ahead.

When we arrived in Munich, we were greeted by a spacious, modern coach that comfortably accommodated the entire group—an exciting change that signaled the start of a new chapter. Just after 11:00 p.m., we pulled up to our hotel, where the staff was ready and waiting with a hot, delicious late-night meal that the students eagerly devoured. After a long travel day, the cool Bavarian air was a refreshing contrast to the Parisian heat and a perfect welcome to Germany.

As we settled in for the night, the sense of accomplishment was palpable—a complex day handled with grace, enthusiasm, and a growing sense of independence. Tomorrow, we begin exploring the wonders of Munich and beyond.

Another unforgettable day on our Grand Tour of Europe!
