An Action-Packed First Day in Athens!

What a whirlwind of excitement on our first day in Athens! From the moment we stepped off the coach bus at Hotel London in Glyfada, we were off and running.

Our rooms were ready, so after a quick freshen-up, we embarked on an orientation walking tour of the town. The students, in their groups of 4 and more scattered to find lunch, and it was no surprise that gyros were the top choice—absolutely delicious!

With the sea just a stone’s throw from our hotel, the temptation was irresistible. The students took a refreshing dip in the beautiful waters, revealing in the unique pleasure of being in Athens while enjoying the seaside.

Back at the hotel, we indulged in a delicious, homemade-style dinner. Yum! Our fantastic Activities Coordinator then led the students to the beach for some lively icebreaker games under a beautiful sunset. It was a perfect end to this action packed first day!

We wrapped up with some final remarks and, understandably, everyone was ready for some well-deserved rest. The students have been so great—respectful, enthusiastic, and tireless. Their eagerness to explore more of this country is so refreshing.

In this short time, it’s clear they are driven to succeed academically while making the most of this experience abroad and forming new friendships. I am very excited to part of this this journey with them.

Tomorrow, we meet at 8am for breakfast before heading off to explore the Acropolis and the Plaka area, followed by their first full day of class! Stay tuned for more updates and stay connected with us through Instagram and this Photo Journal
