Time flies when you’re having fun…
What do you mean we’ve reached the final full day of GSA Italy 2026?!
The connections made over the past three weeks between students, staff, and everyone along the way, has been truly special. This group has done an incredible job balancing class time, working on assessments outside of class, navigating Rome’s transit system, exploring as much of the city as possible, and still making it back to the hotel on time for curfew. We’re very proud of them.
Today was the perfect example of that balance. Most students chose to sleep in and be well-rested for their exam, while a few early risers were up and ready to go. Once the exam was finished, many students hurried back into the city for some final sightseeing and last-minute souvenir shopping before returning to the hotel to get ready for our final family dinner. 📖
The evening was a celebration from start to finish. We enjoyed a delicious three-course meal featuring authentic Roman carbonara, plenty of Fanta, and lots of laughter around the table. 🧡
After dinner, we held a brief awards ceremony (be sure to ask your student what they won… and why 👀). Then the whole group headed out for one final gelato together, soaking in the last evening of our Italian adventure.🏆🍨
Back at the hotel, it was time to pack our bags and call it a night… and officially, call it a trip. We’ll be up early tomorrow for a long travel day as we begin our journey home to Canada and finish this unforgettable experience. 🇨🇦✈️🇮🇹
