The Perfect Final Day!
Our final day together had officially arrived! Students started the morning with breakfast to fuel their brains before spending the last few hours reviewing for their exams. It was finally time to put everything they had learned over the past few weeks to the test. We know all of their hard work and dedication will pay off! Our English students headed out first to complete their exam at a nearby hotel, while our Biology students wrote their exam in our hotel lobby under the supervision of their teachers.
Once exams were finished, everyone had some well deserved free time to relax and get ready for one final celebration (the banquet!) The evening began on our hotel’s rooftop, where we took one last round of photos with the Acropolis as our backdrop. With plenty of fun props, there were lots of laughs and unforgettable pictures before we headed to another hotel for the banquet.
We enjoyed a wonderful meal together before kicking off our annual paper plate awards. These always bring plenty of laughs and are a fun way to celebrate everyone’s unique personalities and memories from the trip. Next came a slideshow filled with highlights from the past few weeks. Looking back at all of the adventures, friendships and unforgettable moments reminded us just how special this experience has been.
After the slideshow, we learned some traditional Greek dance moves! Everyone joined in, creating even more memories and picking up a few new moves to take home. Students were then surprised with GSA shirts, giving everyone the chance to sign each other’s shirts with messages and memories. A keepsake they’ll be able to look back on for years to come.
The DJ kept the energy high with great music and the dance floor quickly filled with students singing, dancing and capturing even more photos and videos together. But the night wasn’t over just yet! Before heading back to the hotel, we made one final stop in Plaka for some delicious gelato. It was the perfect sweet ending to an unforgettable evening. After a fantastic final celebration, we returned to the hotel for our last room checks and packed our bags, ready for our journey home the next day.
