The Final Stop: Rome
The last leg of our journey brought us to the Eternal City—Rome. It was the perfect finale to an unforgettable program, filled with history, culture, and moments that felt straight out of a movie. We kicked things off with a guided tour of the Colosseum, where we stood in awe of the massive structure and imagined the roar of ancient crowds. From there, we made our way to the Vatican, exploring the vast museums and marveling at the beauty of St. Peter’s Basilica. The highlight? The Sistine Chapel. No photo or textbook could’ve prepared us for the experience of standing beneath Michelangelo’s masterpiece. But Rome isn’t just about monuments—it’s about atmosphere. We wandered through charming cobblestone streets, stopping at cafés for espresso and gelato, and tossed coins into the Trevi Fountain, each of us making our silent wishes. Climbing the Spanish Steps gave us a beautiful view of the city, and a moment to reflect on how far we’d come—literally and figuratively. This city has a way of leaving a mark on you. As the sun set on our Roman adventure, it also marked the end of the program—but the memories we made here will last a lifetime.
Grazie mille Italia!
