Rain Day Can't Stop Us!!!!
Students kicked off the day by getting assigned their debate topics- before proudly decking themselves out in the colours and paraphernalia of their chosen contrada. The city was a sea of flags, scarves, and plenty of team spirit!
Lunch was another delicious Italian feast: vegetable penne, grilled chicken breast with mashed potato, and chocolate panna cotta for dessert. 🍫
Unfortunately, we then received some heartbreaking news. After heavy rain overnight and throughout the morning, the track was deemed unsafe for the horses, meaning the Palio has been postponed.
Not to be defeated by the weather, we’re keeping the competitive spirit alive with a Siena Scavenger Hunt! Teams of at least four will race around the city to complete as many challenges as possible. The team with the most completed tasks will earn bragging rights… and, of course, gelato! 🍦
It’s hard to believe this is the students’ last day exploring this incredible historic city. We’re making every moment count!
