Our Final Thank You
Our final few hours together began with one last early wake up in Greece. Students packed their suitcases, made sure their rooms were organized and did one final check to ensure nothing was left behind before making our way to the airport.
Once again, our students were incredible throughout the travel day. They were prepared, patient and ready for the long journey home. Many had downloaded movies for the flight, while others spent their time talking about their favourite memories from the past few weeks and sharing laughs about everything they had experienced together. As excited as everyone was to return home and see their families, it was clear that saying goodbye to Greece and to the friendships and memories made along the way wasn’t easy.
Over the past few weeks, our students have done so much more than visit a new country. They challenged themselves academically, explored ancient history, experienced a new culture, tried new foods, made lifelong friendships, and created memories that will stay with them long after this trip has ended. From early morning ferry rides and sunset swims to classroom discussions, sailing adventures, birthdays, beach volleyball, and countless laughs, every day brought something new.
On behalf of our incredible staff Trevor, Daniela, Azka, Sarah, Jake and Madison we want to say a heartfelt thank you to each and every one of our students for making this program so special. Thank you for embracing every opportunity, supporting one another, stepping outside of your comfort zones, and representing Global Summer Academy with kindness, respect and enthusiasm wherever we went. It has been a privilege to watch you grow academically, build lifelong friendships and create unforgettable memories together. We hope you leave Greece with not only a suitcase full of souvenirs but also a heart full of experiences that will stay with you for years to come. Thank you for making this an unforgettable summer for us just as much as for you. We wish you all the best in your future adventures, and we hope this won’t be the last time our paths cross. Until next time, safe travels home and thank you for an incredible journey.
