One Last Beach Day

Today was our last official field trip of the program! A small group of students headed outside of Rome to Maccarese Beach for a chance to cool off after several hot days in the city. 🏖️

We were treated to lounge chairs, umbrellas, a wide sandy beach, and wonderfully warm water. Some students claimed the shady loungers right away, while others wasted no time sprinting straight into the ocean! 🏊‍♂️

One of the coolest parts of the day was seeing a third Italian coastline, completely different from both Sardinia and Sorrento. Every beach on this trip has had its own personality. 🌊

After returning to Rome, students had a couple of free hours before dinner. Those who stayed in the city made the most of their final free day by visiting more historic landmarks, exploring Rome’s enormous shopping scene, and even squeezing in some assignment work. 📚

The evening came with a brief power outage but everything was quickly sorted and we were still able to enjoy a family dinner in the hotel. After clarifying a few things about the student’s culminating activity, the sign-out sheet was quickly completed for students to take advantage of their late weekend curfew!✨

Very excited to see what plans come to fruition on the students final free day in Rome tomorrow!
