Making The Most Of Our Final Weekend
Saturday marked our final weekend in Greece and students enjoyed a slower start to the day with the chance to sleep in a little before heading down for breakfast and morning sign in.
The morning was a balance of academics and presentations. While some students had a dedicated work period, two English classes presented their short story seminars. Once again, the presentations were outstanding, with students showing how well prepared they were and demonstrating the confidence and skills they have developed throughout the program.
After lunch, students made the most of another beautiful afternoon in Syros. Many spent time at the beach or relaxing by the pool, while others chose to continue working on their culminating tasks. Several students are already well ahead with some even putting the finishing touches on their final assignments. A group of students also took the local bus into town, where they enjoyed exploring, doing a little shopping and finding a new spot to get some schoolwork done.
It was another productive and well balanced day, combining academics with opportunities to enjoy everything Greece has to offer. We wrapped up the day by coming together for another delicious dinner. After dinner, some students headed to the beach to enjoy a beautiful sunset, take a sunset swim and play a few games of beach volleyball before everyone enjoyed a late curfew.
