July 13 - Syros
Our final day on Santorini started with another trip to the beach for sunrise. Some students braved the water for an early morning swim, some took advantage of the very good lighting for some photos, and others just relaxed and listened to the sound of the water.
The group then headed back to the hotel to finish packing up to head to the island of Syros! Students took their time, some having a long relaxing breakfast while others took advantage of the empty pool and went for one last swim. We got onto the bus to head down to the port, where students had some time to catch up on work or get a snack before getting onto the ferry.
On the ferry, students caught up on work and sleep, while others took advantage of the glimpses of various islands, like Paros, Mykonos, and Tinos. With a quick exit from the ferry, we headed straight for the bus to get to Dolphin Bay Resort in Galissas where we’ll call home for the next week. Students got a rundown of the resort, and went to their rooms to freshen up before dinner. At dinner, we had a stunning view of the sunset in between the mountains while eating outside of the porch.
After a long day, everyone was happy to see so many delicious options for dinner and filled up on their favourite Greek and non-Greek foods. After dinner, students were able to explore the village, enjoy the sunset, or get ready for their English debates that will happen tomorrow.
