July 12 - Our Final Day in Santorini

Our last day here began with an outing for our Classical Civilization class. They stopped in at the archeological museum and an exhibit about women in ancient Fira. At the hotel, many students gathered on the pool deck to do course readings. The rest of the day was a chance for everyone to rest, swim, and work at their own pace. Students moved between the hotel pool and the black sand beach that is steps away. We dined at a beachfront restaurant, eating traditional moussaka.  Tomorrow, we’ll leave this stunning island and sail north, to Syros.
