I Call 'em Like I See 'em. Colosseum Visit 2025

Today, our group of wide-eyed students stepped into the heart of ancient Rome — the mighty Colosseum. As we passed through the towering arches we could hear the echoes of gladiators, emperors, and roaring crowds.

The sheer scale of the amphitheater left everyone in awe. Standing in the arena, we imagined the thunder of 50,000 spectators cheering on epic battles. Our guide painted vivid pictures of the spectacles that once unfolded here — from wild animal hunts to dramatic reenactments of Roman myths.

Next stop: the Roman Forum, where we walked the same paths once trodden by Julius Caesar and Cicero. Surrounded by crumbling temples and triumphal arches, the students were amazed to learn that this was once the bustling center of Roman political, religious, and social life.
