A Joyful Farewell: Celebrating the End of Our Global Summers Academy Double Credit Program
After nearly six weeks of exploring the wonders of Rome, Florence, Split, Dubrovnik, Syros, Paros, and Athens, our incredible student journey came to a close with a final banquet that was as heartfelt as it was festive.
The students arrived dressed to impress—elegant, confident, and glowing with the joy of shared experience. It was a beautiful sight to see everyone transformed for the evening, a reflection of how much they’d grown and bonded over the past 38 days.
The banquet began with a round of awards, celebrating everything from academic excellence to unforgettable moments of humor and kindness. Each student received a small gift, a token of appreciation and a reminder of the unique role they played in making this trip so special.
We also took a moment to thank the parents—whose trust and support made this journey possible. Their encouragement allowed us to guide their children through an unforgettable adventure of learning, growth, and cultural discovery.
After dinner, the fun kicked into high gear with a photobooth session full of silly props and contagious laughter. Students posed with feather boas, oversized sunglasses, and goofy hats—capturing the joy of the moment in snapshots that will be treasured for years.
Then came a surprise: Chara and her friends taught us two traditional Greek dances. What followed was a delightful mix of enthusiasm and chaos as we tried to follow the steps, often stepping on each other’s toes and laughing through it all. It was the perfect way to end our time in Greece—with movement, music, and shared joy.
As the night wound down, we gathered on the rooftop patio for final hugs, heartfelt goodbyes, and group photos. The Parthenon, glowing in the distance, stood as a majestic backdrop—a symbol of the history we explored and the memories we created.
It was a pleasure to travel with this group—each student brought something special to the journey. The friendships formed and the lessons learned will stay with us long after we return home. Thank you to the parents for entrusting us with this incredible student travel adventure. We are grateful, proud, and already dreaming of the next one.
