It was a big day for biology! Students recreated meiosis on the beach using debris and sand to create a stop motion video. Then they created a class pet: Frankenstein (Frankie for short)! Specifically, he’s a ginger bug being used to create ginger ale to learn about fermentation in the metabolic processes unit. To top it all off they learned the process of DNA extraction using a banana.

In Jeremy’s class learned about poetry and Shakespeare while in the pool!

Before dinner we had a bit of rain but it presented the opportunity to get some great shots of (distant) lightning on the beach! Finally, we got to celebrate a second birthday. Happy 17th to Alicia!
