Day 7 - Beach Excursion, Exploring Rome, and a World Cup Watch Party
Today offered a perfect balance of relaxation and exploration as students enjoyed their final full day of activities in Italy.
For those who chose the optional excursion, the morning was spent at Maccarese Beach, just outside of Rome. Students enjoyed a relaxing day at a beautiful beach club, taking time to unwind, soak up the sun, and swim in the Mediterranean Sea. It was a welcome change of pace and a great opportunity to enjoy Italy’s coastline together.
Back in Rome, other students took advantage of the day to explore the city at their own pace. Many ventured into the historic centre to enjoy lunch, browse local shops, and pick up last-minute souvenirs, making the most of their final free time in the city.
In the evening, the entire group reunited for a final dinner together, where students enjoyed a delicious meal topped off with tiramisu for dessert. This was a favourite among the group and a sweet way to celebrate another incredible day.
After dinner, the excitement continued with a World Cup watch party, where students gathered to cheer on Canada as they faced Morocco in the quarter-finals. The energy was high as everyone came together to support the team, creating a fun and spirited atmosphere to end the night.
