Day 2: Classes & Sunsets

Today was our first full day in Costa Rica and the first day of classes! We kicked off the morning with a bright and early breakfast at 7:30am, then headed to our classrooms shortly after. Everyone had a chance to get further acquainted with their teachers and classmates, and dove right into the material. English class worked on essays, Math tackled functions, and Biology wrapped up with a tasty DNA lab that got us ready for lunch!
During the lunch break, students had time to explore the town and grab a bite to eat before returning for their final round of classes. Many took the opportunity to do a bit of independent work poolside, truly embracing the pura vida lifestyle.
After class, we all gathered at the beach to watch the beautiful sunset – nothing beats a Coco sunset. Lots of photos, laughs, and memories were made on the beach tonight.
We then headed back to Toro Blanco for dinner. Students had their first sign-out night, where they had the chance to explore the local night scene before returning for some pool time and lots of singing – no better way to end the night.
