Day 16: Day Trip to Venice!

Venice in a Day!
After an early morning breakfast, we walked over to the Florence train station to catch a high-speed train to Venice. We hit a top speed of 252 km/h and made it to Venice is just over two hours.
Upon arrival, we strolled through the alleyways and bridges and slowly made our way to St. Mark’s Square. Along the way, we even took a short gondola ride. After all, no trip to Venice is complete without it. After a short lunch break, we met our local guide, who took us on a two-hour journey through the narrow streets of Venice.
After the tour, we enjoyed some free time for shopping and gelato of course.
We then enjoyed a delicious dinner in town before catching a late evening train back to Florence.
Sure gives new meaning to the Sunday Funday.
