Our First Day in Arenal!

We kicked off the morning with classes, where English students powered through their presentations with a stunning volcano view as their backdrop. Not a bad way to start the day!

Afterward, we had time to explore our resort, soak in the hot springs, and head into downtown La Fortuna for lunch. The town was buzzing with energy, full of shops, restaurants, and postcard-worthy views. Many students came back with souvenirs and sweet memories to boot!

In the afternoon, we split into two groups. Some stayed back to enjoy more of the resort’s magic, while the others took on the challenge of La Fortuna Waterfall. After descending nearly 500 steps, students were treated to a scene straight out of Jurassic Park. (And yes, despite TLC’s advice, we definitely went chasing waterfalls.)

After admiring its power and beauty, students swam right up close – feeling the cool mist, strong currents, and capturing some incredible photos. The hike back up? Let’s just say, our calves thanked us later.

We ended the evening with a well-deserved dinner and one last soak in the hot springs. Tomorrow, we head back home to Playas del Coco.
