Day 12 - Toledo Excursion
July 9th, 2025
Today we set off on an unforgettable day trip to the historic city of Toledo. Known as the “Imperial City” and the “City of Three Cultures,” Toledo swept us away with its rich history, breathtaking architecture, and timeless charm.
Our guided walking tour took us through narrow medieval streets lined with centuries-old buildings reflecting the city’s unique blend of styles. Students were amazed by the Toledo Cathedral, a true masterpiece of Spanish Gothic architecture.
We also visited the Alcázar of Toledo, an imposing fortress that has served as a royal palace and military stronghold over the years. Crossing the iconic Puente de San Martín, we soaked in panoramic views of the Tagus River and the city’s dramatic skyline.
After the tour, students had free time to wander Toledo’s winding streets, explore local shops, and enjoy an included lunch in town. From artisan sword shops to marzipan bakeries, there was something around every corner to discover.
Back in Madrid for the evening, students had free time to grab dinner and explore the city at their own pace. A group of students even had the chance to watch the Club World Cup Semi-Finals, where Real Madrid was playing, and the excitement was electric. It was the perfect end to a day filled with culture, history, and unforgettable moments.
