What a Wholesome Day!

Today was our last full day in Monteverde and we went out swinging! We kicked things off by celebrating Melina’s 17th birthday (Dancing Queen was the anthem of the day and set the tone perfectly).

The morning was relaxed, with time to catch up, hang out, and work on school projects. Then we loaded onto the bus and headed to the famous Monteverde Cloud Forest for an afternoon hike.

Split into smaller groups, we explored the lush rainforest with our guides, spotting birds, monkeys, and all kinds of amazing biodiversity. One of the highlights? The suspension bridge that looked like something straight out of a movie! We ended the hike at the Hummingbird Cafe, where dozens of hummingbirds zoomed around us- so close they nearly brushed our ears.

Back at the hotel, we enjoyed a delicious dinner topped off with birthday celebrations. Then came the perfect send-off – a Monteverde jam session filled with guitars, singing, and a whole lot of heart.

A wholesome and unforgettable way to wrap up our stay in the clouds.
Next stop: Arenal – land of the volcano. We’re ready!
