A Visit to the Vatican!
Our student group crossed into the world’s smallest country today — Vatican City — and what a journey it was!
We began with the Vatican Museums, a treasure trove of art and culture. From ancient Roman sculptures to Renaissance masterpieces, every hallway felt like a portal through time.
Then came the moment everyone had been waiting for: the Sistine Chapel. As we stepped inside, a hush fell over the group. Michelangelo’s ceiling left everyone speechless — the vivid colours, the dynamic figures, and the sheer scale of The Last Judgment were overwhelming in the best way. It was a moment of reflection, reverence, and wonder.
We exited into the sunlight and found ourselves in the breathtaking St. Peter’s Square. Surrounded by Bernini’s sweeping colonnades and facing the majestic façade of St. Peter’s Basilica, the students took a moment to soak it all in. The square, alive with pilgrims and visitors, felt like the perfect place to pause, reflect, and appreciate the spiritual and artistic legacy of the Vatican.
