SPELUNKING AND SOUVLAKI

Students are having a blast exploring the depths of Greek culture and geography. On Monday, a group took an optional excursion to the Diros caves. Of this ancient cave system, 14,700 metres has been mapped, though most of it is underwater.

It’s also the site of many archaeologic finds—including the largest population of hippo bones in Europe!

Back in Kalamata, students are exploring the town independently between classes at the hotel, and, of course, dips in the ocean to cool off.
