Au revoir tranquil Mandelieu!- Bonjour nice Nice!
Mandelieu to Nice
After a fast-paced few weeks in Paris, diving into everything from museums to metro rides, we were more than ready for a change of scenery—and tempo. Mandelieu-la-Napoule gave us exactly that.
Tucked between the mountains and the Mediterranean, this little town on the French Riviera became our home for the week. It was a mix of sunshine, study, and some very welcome downtime.
Sun, Swim, Hike… and Study
The week had a good rhythm. Mornings usually kicked off with study sessions—books open and the occasional group discussion that drifted (just a little) into lunch plans. Even though the workload was steady, it didn’t feel too heavy. Maybe it was the sea air.
Most afternoons were for swims, quick dips in the Med, or long lazy floats depending on the mood. We also managed a few hikes up into the surrounding hills, with great views and just enough effort to feel like we earned dinner.
The balance was perfect: just enough structure to feel productive, and plenty of time to relax, explore, and get some sun.
A Gentle Reset
Mandelieu turned out to be the perfect spot to unwind after Paris. It gave us space to slow down without fully switching off. We still got work done, but we also had time to sit on the beach, watch the boats go by, and eat too many pastries without any real regrets.
Now, with our week in Mandelieu wrapped up, we find ourselves in Nice for the next part of the trip—ready for a little more exploring, probably a lot more gelato and of course, we have some exams coming our way.
