Looking to earn a credit abroad this summer without putting the rest of your summer plans on hold? With Global Summers Academy’s new hybrid summer programs, students no longer have to choose between studying abroad and the experiences that make summer memorable. Whether you have family commitments, a job, attend camp, or train for your sport, our hybrid model offers the flexibility to do it all.

Summer gets busy fast, but that doesn’t mean you have to miss out on an amazing learning and travel experience. Our hybrid programs allow students to earn a credit while exploring iconic cities, discovering new interests, and forming meaningful friendships. With approximately two weeks spent abroad, these programs offer a shorter, more cost‑effective travel commitment compared to our full-length programs, while still delivering an unforgettable educational experience.

Our approach blends online coursework with in‑person learning in extraordinary locations around the world. During the two weeks before departure, students complete about half of their coursework at their own pace with support available through scheduled virtual office hours. Once in location, the course continues through in‑person classes and concludes with a final exam before returning home. No additional work is required upon their return, allowing students to fully enjoy the rest of their summer.

This year’s hybrid programs include Greece, Grand Tour Europe, and Costa Rica. Each program is designed to bring course content to life through immersive, real‑world learning, taking place both online and in-person. Small class sizes allow students to receive individualized attention and build strong connections with teachers and classmates. Together, these elements create an environment where students can thrive academically and personally.

The impact of these programs extends far beyond academics. Students return home not only with a completed high school credit but with increased independence, broader global awareness, and renewed excitement for learning. Former students have expressed gaining confidence, embracing new challenges, and feeling better prepared for the transition to post‑secondary education as a result of our programs.

If you are looking for a summer experience that blends flexibility, academic achievement, and meaningful exploration, a hybrid program is an outstanding choice. Students get ahead academically while enjoying all that summer has to offer, gaining confidence, discovering new places, and building friendships that last well beyond the summer travel program. This could be the summer that opens the door to new possibilities, new perspectives, and an unforgettable educational journey.
