JAPAN JULY
PROGRAM
Start your adventure in the exciting city of Tokyo, one of the most iconic and vibrant cities in the world. Tokyo perfectly blends rich history and traditional culture with cutting-edge technology, modern architecture, and dynamic urban life. During these seven days, you will experience everything from historic temples and shrines to delicious food and immersive art, with optional excursions to Tokyo Disneyland and a scenic trip to Kamakura.
A bullet train will take us to Nagano, where an included visit to Jigokudani allows you to see the famous snow monkeys while taking in the breathtaking mountainous landscapes. You also have the option to visit Matsumoto Castle, known as “Crow Castle” for its striking black exterior. This 16th-century castle is historically rich and a must-see.
Next, we head to Kanazawa, also known as “Little Kyoto”. Explore the elegant Kenrokuen Garden, wander through the historic samurai district, and immerse yourself in the city’s rich cultural heritage.
Continue your adventure in Kyoto, where you will explore iconic temples and shrines, stroll through traditional districts and bamboo groves, and participate in an included hands-on tea ceremony while wearing a kimono. Students also have the option to join a cooking class to learn authentic Japanese dishes.
Make your way to Hiroshima, where you will explore the city’s powerful history at the Peace Memorial Park and Museum. Join in on an optional excursion to Miyajima Island to see the iconic floating torii gate at Itsukushima Shrine, a UNESCO World Heritage site.
Our final stop is Osaka, a vibrant and modern city offering a mix of culture, entertainment, and food experiences. Explore the historic Osaka Castle and wander the lively streets of Dotonbori and Shinsaibashi. A perfect ending to our program!
