When I went to Spain and Portugal with Global Summers Academy, I had an amazing time with my friends and always had something to do.
When I finished my work (which I would always try to do first thing), I would have the rest of the day to relax or go out, my preferred choice. On one of the days, 5 of my friends and I found a beach nearby in Lisbon, Portugal, and went there for a few hours, soaked up the sun and swam in the ocean. This was one of the most memorable activities up to date, and we still bring up this day a lot!
On rainy days, I enjoyed doing puzzles, reading in cafes or outside in the beautiful sun. My friends and I would try new foods and cafes, take many pictures all together, and walk around new cities and learn all about them. We would get new snacks from stores and have little taste tests which was always a treat and exposed us more to the local culture.
At night, we would go get ice cream, dance in the squares and would sing along to their music as well. We would all smile and laugh, as none of us were very good, but it was still memorable. At night, we would finish our homework sitting upon balconies or in the lobby, admiring the sunset and when we were done, would play music, play card games or even interactive games.
