HIGH SCHOOL
SUMMER PROGRAMS
IN LONDON & GREECE

GRADE 11 & 12
LONDON & THE GREEK ISLANDS
JULY PROGRAM

Our program begins in the exciting city of London, one of the most iconic and vibrant cities in the world. London has a rich history and a diverse culture and seamlessly blends these together. In these five days you will experience everything from London’s history to architecture to food scene. We will stroll along the River Thames and see the famous Big Ben clock tower, take photos of the famous red telephone booth by Westminster Abbey and visit Buckingham Palace. Cross London Bridge and enjoy the various food markets. London is not complete without visiting the extensive collections of art, historical artifacts and cultural treasure at the National Portrait Gallery, the British Museum, St. Paul’s cathedral and the Crown Jewels at the Tower Bridge.

A short flight away brings us to the Greek Island of Crete, Crete has it all, from their gorgeous beaches, the richness of history, Cretan traditions, and wonderful cuisine. Take a walking tour of Heraklion’s Old Town, which was first established in roughly 820AD and take in the charming atmosphere of the Venetian- style buildings.

Next, we will make our way to Rhodes, the largest island in the Dodecanese and a place in which makes you feel like you are in Game of Thrones. Take a walking tour through Rhodes Town, the capital of the island, and visit the medieval Old Town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Indulge in famous Greek cuisine and relax on the beautiful beaches along the coastline.

Our island hopping continues with ferry rides to the islands of Patmos and Kos. These small, authentic, islands in the Aegean are rich in Greek spiritual culture and offer beautiful landscapes. Take a stroll through the old towns, swim in the crystal-clear waters and opt to join in on the various water activities.

Finish your adventure in the ancient city and capital of Athens and explore both classical architecture and modern city life. Join in on an included excursion through the Acropolis and be amazed by the Parthenon and the Temple of Athena Nike. Enjoy the shops, and vibrating cafes and restaurants and fill your minds with the extensive history of local museums and galleries.
