IN PANAMA & COSTA RICA

GRADE 11 & 12
PANAMA & COSTA RICA
JULY PROGRAM

Panama and Costa Rica are two of Central America’s most captivating destinations, offering a rich blend of natural beauty, culture, and adventure. Together, these neighboring countries create the perfect setting for exploration, learning, and unforgettable experiences.

The program begins in the bustling metropolis of Panama City. Known for its contrasting modern skyline and charm of its historic districts, students will explore the famous Panama Canal, witness the city’s rich history, and enjoy the local cuisine. The nearby rainforest offers the first taste of the country’s extraordinary wildlife.

Next, travel to the serene town of Pedasí, located on the Azuero Peninsula. Pedasí is known for its beautiful beaches, fishing culture, and laid-back atmosphere. Students will immerse themselves in coastal life, with opportunities to go snorkeling and explore nearby islands. This stop offers a glimpse into rural Panamanian life and the natural beauty of the region.

Our group will then venture into Monteverde, Costa Rica, a world-renowned cloud forest reserve. This area is famous for its mist-covered forests, abundant wildlife, and unique plant species. Students will hike through the cloud forest, visit sustainability projects, and discover why Monteverde is a leader in conservation. The suspension bridges offer thrilling ways to experience the forest from above.

From the cloud forests of Monteverde, travel to the Arenal Volcano region. The group will be able to hike, observe geothermal activity, and take in the stunning views of the volcano. After a day of exploration, students can relax in the region’s famous hot springs, enjoying the therapeutic properties of the natural thermal waters.

Our final stop is Playa Hermosa, a beautiful Pacific Coast beach known for its golden sands and tranquil waters. Students will have the opportunity to participate in water activities such as surfing, paddleboarding, or snorkeling, or simply relax on the beach and enjoy the serene surroundings. Playa Hermosa provides a relaxing and picturesque end to an action-packed adventure.

This dynamic itinerary combines cultural immersion, environmental education, and outdoor adventure across two incredible countries!
